Hippo explores the coming of age of two cousins: Hippo, a video game-addicted teenager, and Vėdryn, a Hungarian Catholic immigrant with a love of classical music and Jesus. Like the ancient Greek Aphrodite, Vėdryn’s love is unrequited by his brother, who prefers to indulge in the arts of war and chaos. The result is a hormone-fueled, tragicomic waking nightmare that has to be seen to be believed.
