Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to create. After the release of season one, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce.. Arcane tells the story of two young orphan sisters who grew up and had trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you straight into this fictional world, time and care is taken to set up the places and characters in a commendable, understated way. Solid character development and world building means it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch without knowing anything about the game.
The animation is downright refined
As an anime fan myself, I found the animation in Arcane to be more than anything I’ve ever seen from an animated series. There is incredible attention to detail. It’s clear that no artistry or monetary expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life.
A great soundtrack, great acting and a compelling story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and more adulting
themes. So far only the first three episodes have been released and I can’t wait to see what else is in store!. No need to waste time endlessly scrolling – here’s the whole range of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
